The aim of the article is to diagnose the attitude of young Poles towards the
media offering them information about politics, as well as to draw attention to new areas
of research that can create a context for understanding the perception of politics and
politicians, which indirectly reflects their broadly understood political activity. The term “media diet” used in the title is an analogy to a nutritional diet, describing the range and
types of media consumed by their users.
The starting point of the diagnosis is the results of a study on the perception of media
reporting on the 2023 parliamentary election campaign. The recommendations concern
expanding the traditional perspective of analyzing the sources of knowledge about politics
of young voters with a cultural approach.
