ABSTRACT
On June 1, 2025, historic elections took place, and not just in Mexico. For the
first time in the modern history of the system of modern states there were elections of
the judiciary by popular vote. How the transformation of the system of the judiciary, from
the perspective of the latest amendments to Mexico’s constitution? The purpose of the
article is to analyze the process of change in the system of judicial power of Mexico, and
especially the way judges are created.

Czasopismo naukowe «Studia Politologiczne» uzyskało dofinansowanie z Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki w ramach programu „Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych” (projekt numer RCN/SN/0713/2021/1). Wysokość otrzymanego dofinansowania wynosi 79 607 zł. Celem projektu jest realizacja działań zmierzających do podniesienia poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenia wpływu Czasopisma na rozwój nauki oraz dalszego zwiększania prestiżu Czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym. Okres realizacji projektu wynosi 24 miesiące.
