The article presents of an action research study on the adaptation of the
Design Sprint method to the conditions of academic teaching. The analysis covers twenty
projects processes carried out with students of the Jagiellonian University as part of regular
courses and projects commissioned by external institutions. The findings indicate that
Design Sprint can serve as a valuable tool for developing project – based competencies, provided that institutional specificities, time constraints, and the need for organizational
support are adequately addressed.
