ABSTRACT
In the article the questions of formation and perfection of the conceptual apparatus of the
modern legal science in Russia to be treated. It will be observed, the problem of the pairs
of legal categories. As a methodological basis of the formation of the paired concepts of
legal science, materialist dialectics is used. It is determined to be an approximate circle
of the paired categories of the General theory of law. Are analysed such paired concepts
such as legal stimulus and legal limitation, the promotion and punishment in the law,
subjective rights and legal obligations, both positive and negative legal responsibility. It
is an author’s definition of pairs of legal categories and logical algorithm of the disclosure
is proposed of the pair of legal categories, and determined their functions. Advanced the
prospects of the use of the paired categories as a logical Form of the cognition of legal
phenomena are noted.

Czasopismo naukowe «Studia Politologiczne» uzyskało dofinansowanie z Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki w ramach programu „Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych” (projekt numer RCN/SN/0713/2021/1). Wysokość otrzymanego dofinansowania wynosi 79 607 zł. Celem projektu jest realizacja działań zmierzających do podniesienia poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenia wpływu Czasopisma na rozwój nauki oraz dalszego zwiększania prestiżu Czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym. Okres realizacji projektu wynosi 24 miesiące.
