ABSTRACT
The aim of this article is to present profiles of individuals who meet the criterion
of being members of the Polish Sejm of non-Polish origin and to highlight their professional
and political careers, which enabled them to win a seat in Parliament. The author analyses
cases to find a common denominator linking all members of the Sejm of the Republic
of Poland after 1989 who were not Polish citizens by birth. The case studies analysis
revealed similarities in the individual political career paths of members of the Polish Sejm of non-Polish origin. The conclusions of the study indicate that although the duration of
political careers and public functions performed by members of the Sejm of non-Polish
origin are diverse, it is possible to identify similarities in the individual political career paths
of members of the Sejm of non-Polish origin.
